Many folks have asked me why I think @CPDAction members chose to endorse @BernieSanders - including my own mom who trolled me on Facebook 😂 read along 👇🏾👇🏾 and let me tell you👇🏾👇🏾shout out to fellow Bernie supporter @iamcardib
@BernieSanders @ewarren & @SecretaryCastro ALL went above & beyond to engage with @CPDAction members, Black, brown and anti-racist white folks, young folks and our elders, no income, low income, and those of us who are struggling but getting by, immigrants & folks born here.
We would be lucky to have any one of these candidates as President & I would hope they would each be open to serving in each other’s administrations. But for our members 75% felt that @BernieSanders was the strong movement candidate we need to beat Trumpism.
First in every conversation @SenSanders had with our members he spoke boldly and unapologetically about the dangers and evils of white supremacy. Sanders lost members of his family in the Holocaust and he drew pointed similarities to whats happening today in detention centers
While all 3 candidates immigration plans would be immediately better and more humane than Trump- only @BernieSanders was the only candidate to make an unequivocal commitment to a moratorium on deportations on day 1 of his Presidency
all 3 candidates share a goal of universal healthcare - they have different paths to getting us there. Our members remember the 2010 tea party. If we seize power in 2020 we need to exercise it while we have it & we trust @BernieSanders 2 help us win a pro #Medicare4All senate
All of the candidates support our campaign 2 repeal the #94crimebill

But only @BernieSanders justice transformation plan includes reparations 4 those harmed by marijuana prohibition & ending cash bail & closing 4 profit prisons & voting rights for people who are incarcerated
lastly while we believe that all 3 candidates are part of our movement 4 Justice- what @BernieSanders has built is undeniable
Most individual donors (1 Million +)
Preferred among youth
Preferred among working class voters

#NotMeUs is a movement our members saw themselves in
