THREAD: "Corbynista" - Why Labours loss is Corbyn's fault

The big takeaway from Labour's loss in the 2019 General Election is that Corbyn was deeply unpopular outside of the movement and on a basic messaging level why in hindsight he was doomed to fail.
It's the issue that can't be named is simple: Corbyn advocates treating all people equally, regardless of gender, race, background etc. This is deemed as traitorous because Brits should come first.
His very appeal to those who left Labour due to the Iraq war is the biggest reason why he wasn't trusted on the doorstep.
unsurprisingly this is what won it for Boris Johnson.

Mr Johnson proclaimed we will succeed outside the EU because we are British, whereas Corbyn is forced to say being British doesn't make us any more or less special than any other country: it's about aspiration and hope.
By playing to centuries of entrenched imperialism Mr Johnson was able to provide a more hopeful and positive message whilst doing nothing of the sort. This left the transformative programme promised by Corbyn widely ignored
There were other factors;
Corbyn accepting a remain Brexit position that alienated red belt voters who have been declining in their support for Labour since 2005.
Corbyn allowed the membership to put forward a program that would challenge the power and status of the 4/5 billionaires that own 80% of our press.
Corbyn trusted the fairness of a BBC that on every level is populated by people who wouldn't have been hired if they didn't tend towards the government line, headed in almost every department by old tories and Etonians who would prefer feudalism to democracy.
Corbyn's non-confrontational style played poorly with the voters he needed to win over; the sort of people who if accused of being a racist when they have fought racism longer and more publicly than almost anyone in politics would have rightly bopped the accusor.
Lies, smears and nonsense stuck in peoples minds because he wasn't forceful enough to shut it down.
Corbyn didn't clean his house after the coup and empower the membership if you have a mutiny and survive, you make the ringleaders walk the plank as a warning to others, additionally, mandatory reselection for all candidates would be a good start.
Corbyn allowed the party to dream too big, we will never be allowed more than a seat at the master's table, asking for more will lose us that privilege, we should all remember our place.
Happy Christmas everyone, the UK is going to get a lot scarier quite quickly now, but remember for us to reach Star Trek there had to be a 3rd world war, so we have that to look forward to.
