Kicking off some New Year's #DavesCarIDService with some tweets forwarded by various folks: round edge door bottoms, external hinges, and peaked cowl say this .22 target is a circa 1938 International Harvester
I'm no fire truck expert, but pretty sure this is a 1916 American LaFrance
This vintage Aggieland lineup, L-R: 1952 Chevy 2 dr hardtop, 1960 Ford Galaxie, 1958 Dodge, 53/54 Ford, a little fuzzy but I think 55 Ford wagon, some sort of 46-51 GM fastback
the beer-laden flatbed in this awesome pic is a 1938 Ford. Side note: I went to a neon sign auction a few years ago and saw a 24" Grand Prize Beer sign fetch $18,000, easily more than that truck would now bring
Encyclopedic knowledge of useless facts is its own reward
As several of you have pointed out, bullet holes are bigger caliber that .22. Cars/trucks of that era were pretty heavy gauge steel, and besides no Texan would be caught carrying anything less than a .357
rather than go down an infinite rabbit hole thread about neon signage and cheap southern beer, I'll just say thank you to @TracesofTexas for the cool snapshots and various readers for alerting me to them, and get back to car IDs
