So on the day @realDonaldTrump is threatening to blow up the Middle East, his son posts pictures of himself with a weapon bearing the “crusaders cross,” symbol of war with Islam in the Middle Ages, and today used by White supremacists?
Let me just repeat that back: the son of @realDonaldTrump has posted images of himself with a weapon bearing a widely used symbol of white supremacist groups......

....which also happens to have been a major symbol of the medieval crusades/wars between Christian Europe and the Islam world....

While @realDonaldTrump is threatening to bomb civilians in Iran and claiming the right to occupy Iraqi territory.

At a time when our commander in chief @realDonaldTrump has proven to be so erratic & dishonorable, willing to betray allies in battle, & put US soldiers & intel ops in unnecessary danger, it’s incredible that our special operations forces remain so professional and effective.
I just hope that people around @realDonaldTrump will curb his desperate need to steal the limelight from the soldiers and leadership who did the real work and took the actual risks in this operation.
Had it gone badly, the President would be disavowing them all this morning.
It just hit me: @realDonaldTrump will claim this morning that his betrayal of our Kurdish allies and surrender of territory and a military base camp to Russia were all part of a plan to get al-Baghdadi. He’ll say he put it all together and no else could have seen it.

OK, @realDonaldTrump’s hurricane bit was incredibly dumb. Got it. But now it’s been reported 1000s of times that “a Sharpie” was used. Is there actual reporting on that?
Or on who did it?
Or does “Sharpie” just sound better?

Also, as dumb as @realDonaldTrump’s hurricane fiasco is, he did NOT hold up a map w/ a loop drawn “around” the state of Alabama.
There is no need to embellish the President’s absurdisms. It makes Trump’s exaggerations look normal...

Credit to the more circumspect @peterbakernyt and others at @nytimes for saying the offending loop only “appeared” to be from a black Sharpie.
But wouldn’t it be better just to report what’s actually known—“a marker”?

Please do not get cocky about @realDonaldTrump winning in 2020 keep up the fight daily, do what you can in your local communities (no matter how liberal they are) to help register voters, canvass, talk, debate, stay active, it’s #WAR
There are seats on city counsels, community boards etc that go unchallenged in quiet elections and the same dusty, corrupt people make decisions in small rooms that affect entire areas, if you can’t run, find out when they meet, go sit in. ACTIVATE.
