India had the largest number of migrants living abroad (17.5 mn), followed by Mexico (11.8 mn) & China (10.7 mn), noted the World Migration Report 2020 released in Nov 2019. Follow this thread for insights:

The largest migration corridor in the current report is from the Syrian Arab Republic to Turkey, where over 3.7 mn Syrians resided in 2019. This is a change from 2015 & 2017, when the largest corridor in Asia was from India to the United Arab Emirates.

With ~3.7mn displacements, China recorded nearly as many new disaster displacements (due to volcanic eruptions, & flooding caused by monsoons & landslides) as the Philippines. China was followed by India (2.7 million) & Indonesia (853,000).
As many as 6,585 people lost their lives due to rain-related natural calamities--such as cyclones, floods and landslides--in India over 3 yrs ending July 18, 2019. This amounted to ~2,000 deaths/year, on average, we reported in July 2019
