Labour productivity (output per hour) was up 0.1% in Q3 2019 compared with the same quarter of 2018.

This follows four previous quarters where it fell ow.ly/AuRG50xPTk2
Total public service productivity was up 0.3% in 2017 on its 2016 level.

This was joint with 2015 as the slowest annual growth since 2010 ow.ly/Oeca30q7IVD
UK public service healthcare productivity grew 0.9% in 2017. However, this was slower than the 1.6% growth of 2016 ow.ly/ywZL30q7IXs
Commenting on today’s figures, head of productivity @KatKent_ONS said:

“Although productivity grew on the year, the underlying picture is of sustained weakness since 2008, with growth over the past year being only a third of the average over the last ten years or so.” (1/2)
