Erdogan may be the peace maker in Iran, Syria and Libya. Something that would give him top cover for the giant chunk of Eastern Mediterranean he just carved out. I have been pointing out this geo political shift because Turkey has links eastward to Afghanistan and China.

Turkey and Russia want lucrative contracts to rebuild shattered and developing nations. Something America had in it's grasp under Obama but slipped away under Trump. China will gladly suck up anything the Russians and Turks don't get.
Remember decades ago America helped to build Iran, Libya, Saudi and other oil rich nations. Now we are just grumpy tired bystanders that have spent trillions on military costs with no chance of recouping our "investment" Why?
