The regime in Iran, humiliated after Soleimani’s death, launched missiles on Iraqi military bases housing U.S. troops in a desperate attempt to save face.
All the while, Tehran knows provoking Trump is dangerous.
This is Khamenei’s status quo.
Iran’s military brass is weeping after the loss of Soleimani.
Me:
Good.
Iranian state TV aired this footage claiming to be the Ain al-Assad air base in western Iraq.
Fake.
It’s from the attack on Saudia Arabia’s Aramco oil facility.
Left - Iranian state media also claimed @khamenei_ir directly supervised the attack.
Fake.
Right - The image is photoshopped from years before.

The question is will Iran, after carrying out its overt/face-saving attack now resort to a covert & deniable campaign of attacks through its proxy forces.
There are mixed reports & experts are divided.
What do you think?
