Assuming we can count on the Trump administration, famously *very* concerned with corruption abroad to the point of withholding vital military aid, to stop paying #Honduras to illegally house #asylum seekers now that its government is letting this major anti-corruption law lapse
@ImagineTheGreen In the case of Honduras, the "creative thinking" referenced in this statement from @SecPompeo announcing more funds includes

--selling the government (including the President) to narcos

--harshly punishing #migrantcaravan organizers

--well-documented corruption at every level
@ImagineTheGreen @SecPompeo Anyway, it's good to know that our country is so committed to cautiously stewarding our taxpayer dollars and standing up to corruption wherever and whenever it is found

The Trump administration's new #PublicCharge rule-- the single most restrictive immigration policy from any administration in more than 100 years--is now law.
Today's #SCOTUS order only lifts the injunction which was keeping the #publiccharge rule from going into effect while it remains on appeal, imposing a tremendous burden on immigration attorneys and our clients. We continue to hope for justice at the end of this appeal.

If I had a client who so much as attempted to place a call to an eyewitness in a pending misdemeanor SHOPLIFTING case to even politely request that he not show in court he could be charged w/obstruction, let alone attempting to block witnesses & docs from a Congressional subpoena

You know who else gets "weary and bored"? Actual jurors. For weeks at a time, while considering matters far less consequential than this.

Here's something I think about way too often: Apple forced not one but *four* juries to sit through endless technical testimony in its Dickensian battle to prove that Samsung stole its idea of a phone constituting a "rectangle with rounded corners."

Jury duty is good and honorable service, and hard work. Lives and livelihoods depend on regular citizens paying close attention and weighing the evidence before them. Congress should, if anything, be held to a much higher standard.

(1) ... creep out, as it always does, you find yourself scrambling to twist it to fit back into your lie. Democrats, both in Congress and the media, are finding this out the hard way this week with their latest “Trump is corrupt and must be impeached” lie.
(2) Most learn that honesty is the best policy when they’re kids, but politicians and journalists are now overgrown, overpaid kids. There are maybe a handful of honest, mature people currently working in politics, but none have seen the business end of a TV camera since the 90s.
