Shahab Dehghani is another Iranian student with a valid F1 visa about to be deported. His attorney & a group of his friends are at @BostonLogan protesting right now. @CBP won’t let the Economics student at @Northeastern talk to anyone. Congressman Kennedy called, CBP said no. 
Shahab has been in @CBP detention for more than 24 hours (since 5 PM yesterday.) CBP refuses to allow him to speak to anyone including his lawyer and does not say why they are refusing him entry. A pic of him and more pics of the protest by his friends at Boston Logan airport->
Note that this is not Shahab Dehgahni’s first entry to US with a valid student visa. He studied Economics in @Northeastern for 2 years. Then went back to #Iran and waited for a full year to get a new visa from US embassy in Ankara to come back & finish school. Now being deported.

According to one of the immigration lawyers in Boston Logan airport a lawsuit has been filed with the hope that the emergency judge intervenes before Shahab Dehghani is put on the Air France flight at 9 PM to Paris.

A partial late night court victory says lawyer for Shahab Dehghani who CBP was trying to deport on the 9PM Air France flight from Boston to Paris. He stays in detention for the night. Case will be before a judge in Boston at 10 AM.

Despite the court order last night Shahab Dehghani was deported. CBP argued before the judge minutes ago that he had been put on the plane before the order was issued.

Why did CBP deport #Iran student Shahab Dehghani? The lawyer for the student says CBP claimed he was an “intending immigrant” which she calls an “indefensible” excuse. Noting he had already lived in US for 2 years as a student and waited months to be cleared for a second visa.
