Chowdhury Mueen Uddin is believed to have kidnapped and murdered his colleagues in 1971. He was a member of a radical Islamist militia.

He laid the foundations for modern jihadi groups.

He came to the UK and was feted by the establishment. He played a role in Operation Cyclone
CMU setup the Islamic Foundation UK with leaders of JI in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Prof. Khurshid Ahmed , a senior Pakistani politician helped him run it.

In 1997, Ahmed wrote a defence policy paper calling for jihad. JI openly supported Osama bin Laden and the Taliban.
I started a full investigation of Jamaat's activities in the UK after 9/11.

British ministers in Tony Blair's government couldn't understand why Jamaat figures had taken over the main institutions in British Muslim life.

MI6 arabists supported Jamaat figures and the politicians wanted to change it.
