One thing that is tiring about politics and news these days is that everything is about Trump. On both sides. Every story has to be connected to Trump. Every policy has to be discussed based on how it affects Trump or how it compares to what Trump does.

It's exhausting.
I seriously wonder how some of these news organizations and pundits are going to manage in a post-Trump world.
A huge health crisis that is having a major impact on the global economy, protests in the ME, countless policy issues being ignored in the middle of a primary, and these idiots are focused on a tweet trolling Bloomberg about his height...

I remember quite a few people on the right that were bothered by Trump’s flirtations with the alt-right in 2016 (I was one of them). Maybe I’m missing it, but have seen very few people on the left speak out about Bernie’s open embrace of the alt-left.
If Biden really wanted to take the gloves off, he would start calling Bernie out for having the most toxic set of surrogates in recent history. But other campaigns seem reluctant to confront the toxic left for fear of blowback from the media liberals who protect them.
Think about this list: Matt Duss, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, Faiz Shakir, Rania Khalek, Abby Martin, Cenk Uygur, Noam Chomsky, Linda Sarsour, Shaun King etc.

These aren't random supporters, they are people embraced or part of Sanders' campaign.

Real talk on impeachment that will piss off everyone: Trump is clearly guilty of trying to leverage his office to try to encourage political investigations in a likely political opponent. The real question is whether that is an impeachable offense worthy of removal. (1/)
My view is that the answer is no, but I don't think it's impossible for someone to disagree in good faith.

With that said, pols are always going to do what is in their interest. Voting to remove a POTUS of your own party almost never is (which is why Romney is 1st to do it).
The only way you make it in a politician's interest is by convincing a large segment of their voters that it's the right thing to do.

Dems never even tried to do that here. They made it clear from the start this was a partisan political play aimed at the election.

We never got ties in the liberal hack tournament during Obama's Presidency...
In just the past week: Rubin insisted someone who has won 9 cases in front of SCOTUS couldn't handle being in front of a real judge, trashed the 17th amendment, and proposed Democrats move for a mistrial in the Senate.

Playing at a ridiculous level.
