That tax cut only benefited the top 30% of the income distribution, and provided the biggest benefit to those in the top 10%. To claim that it helped reduce poverty is risible.
LPC messaging on that damn tax cut is a wonder to behold. A tax cut to the top end, sold as a tax cut on the middle, and now being touted as an anti-poverty measure.
