Let's hear from all the folks sitting in the Rule of Law peanut gallery during the Democrats' silly Impeachment Theater about how Chuck Schumer gets to break any laws he wants and face polite disapproval at worst.
Can we get a word from the Eroding Our Norms and Undermining Democracy choruses about Schumer and other Democrats trying to delegitimize the Supreme Court and normalize the practice of influencing it with threats of violence against individual justices?
Would any of our dedicated Anti-Authoritarianism Watchdogs care to weigh in on Schumer whipping up mob violence to impose his political will on the Supreme Court? I was told Donald Trump is an authoritarian menace because he writes mean tweets about reporters.

"No such thing as overreaction to a crisis like this" is such a weird talking point. Of COURSE you can overreact to just about anything. More importantly, some reactions are counterproductive or can create problems worse than the crisis at hand, especially over the long term.
Effective crisis management is all about keeping a cool head and thinking things through. Risks and rewards, costs and benefits, must still be measured even though priorities have understandably changed. Draconian measures aren't always wrong, but they're not automatically right.
Many arguments about over- or under-reaction really boil down to arguments over what priorities should be, and how the costs of dramatic action should be measured. It's possible, and vital, to ask about those costs even if the severity of the crisis is not in serious dispute.

Where might the rest of the world be right now if the World Health Organization had not shamefully and irresponsibly bowed to the political demands of China in the first months of the coronavirus crisis? A lot of high-ranking people need to lose their jobs over this.
If WHO does not start getting rid of the people who knuckled under to Communist China, beginning with the director-general, then the organization needs to be defunded, disregarded, and replaced. China is going to be the source of a LOT of virus epidemics in the future.
A long, hard look needs to be taken at every organization where China has membership. Beijing has proven it simply cannot be trusted and will abuse any influence it is given. Until and unless the Chinese Communist Party is disbanded, China should have observer status only.

I've been wondering about this myself. Lord knows there will be plenty of hindsight and blame-spreading when this is all over, but from where we stand now, it seems odd to insist the president would have needed to specifically instruct CDC to get ready for the coronavirus.
It's their JOB, isn't it? Theoretically their top priority? Global news began buzzing with dreadful accounts of the highly infectious Wuhan virus in December, but CDC was waiting for Trump to tell it to start getting tests and supplies ready? What was higher on the to-do list?
The Trump administration didn't have a whole lot to do with CDC until now - the big phony Dem talking point about "cutting its budget" is based on a presidential proposal that wasn't implemented (none of them ever are these days.) CDC has a vast staff and enormous funding.

1/ We're nonpartisan, and we don’t usually weigh in on polarizing matters like #impeachment bc there are hundreds of orgs doing so already. It's simply not our role. However, this is a historic moment. It is serious, and it's linked to our work to fix our corrupt political system
2/ No matter what we say about the #impeachmenttrial, we’re going to upset ppl one side or the other bc today, ppl on the right and the left live in two completely different realities. We get our news from different channels, and each side gets a different set of “facts”.
3/ As a result, many people think Dems used the #impeachment trial as a bogus ploy to gain political advantage. Many others think #Republicans abandoned their sworn oath to protect the #Constitution and voted to protect their party at the expense of the people and the rule of law
