And then we let the Chinese regime troll us with their complaints over calling it Wuhan Virus. Yes, that's where it originated so it's perfectly fine to point that out. A regime that weaponizes claims of racism while putting 1 million Muslims in concentration camps is, well, evil

The evidence of China's deliberate cover up of the outbreak in Wuhan is a matter of public record. It's been widely reported and documented: China suppressed information about the virus, punished whistleblowers, allowed it to spread undetected in the critical early days

More perniciously, the Chinese regime detained and disappeared those brave doctors who sounded the alarm about virus and tried to warn their fellow citizens

Anyone who draws moral equivalency between the Chinese regime and Trump can't be taken seriously. Trump didn't block the media from reporting on corona; he did not disappear journalists. Regime type matters. And this is why I thank God we live in a democracy during this crisis

It's also a sign of democracy that some Americans can freely express their belief that the Chinese regime is better than the Trump administration, an irony I suppose which is lost on them

There's also something vaguely intriguing—and also rather frightening—about folks on the left and Trump opponents rushing to the defense of a regime which put more than a 1 million Muslims in concentration camps

The Chinese regime isn't a race. It's a regime, and easily one of the worst and one of the most brutal in our lifetimes
