A nontrivial number of Americans seem to believe that magic is real, and that physical threats can be made to go away if only enough people tweet that the threats don't exist.
A few years ago I wrote about this phenomenon as it applies to climate change denial. Now we can see it again in the responses to coronavirus.

This shouldn't require saying, but:

Magic is not real.

And bullshit is bullshit even if you get 22,000 people to retweet it and some talking heads to say it on cable news.
