This morning I woke up thinking about the world after #COVID19 when I got this message from my friend @maxwellubah and felt it was #TooGoodNotToShare

Sitting down and thinking about the #COVIDー19 pandemic and the restrictions of movement, here's my #ThreeBigLessons
#Leadership is all about #decisionmaking

The world was slow to react to the virus. #WorldLeaders neglected it & even described it like the common flu. By the time they woke up, it had become widespread with thousands dead.

Most deaths outside Wuhan were completely avoidable
Today, we have shut down our airspace and restricted movements. This same decision could have been taken when the first case of coronavirus incidence happened. Well, as they say, it's never too late to correct a wrong action.

Key lesson here is that #LeadersAreDecisive
They don't put away till tomorrow a decision they are to make today. They might apear unreasonably harsh when they make such decisions, but better be wrong than be sorry.

Had the world responded on time and decisively, we could have contained this virus.
#MoneyIsImportant

A friend lamented that the two week lockdown without money is getting him depressed. For many, the lockdown without money is worse than even the coronavirus. Many earn money daily and live based on their daily income. This issue just brings to the fore that
This issue just brings to the fore money is important.

Key lesson: You need to trust #God for financial breakthroughs and then manage your cashflow better.* The age-old advice about saving for a raining day will always hold true.
You should have, at any point in time, savings to cater for your essential needs for between three to six months of not working. If you have more, great!

#FaithIsImportant

Perhaps, the biggest lesson for me in all of this is the place of faith.
Situations like these challenge one's faith that if you are not strong in your convictions, you will lay aside your faith. But it is in times like these that we need to hold on to faith and trust that this too shall pass.
Key lesson: #FaithIsOurAnchor in life's storms and helps us maintain our sanity when everything else around us is falling apart. And the true test of having faith is one's response in trying times. So cast not away your confidence during this period.
