csa/ they also came up in the news when one of their members (or, possibly, just someone associated with them) led the cops on a multi-day after he was charged for raping his daughter motherjones.com/crime-justice/…
if you look around the web you'll find the run of the mill shitty racist youtube channel dipshits calling for this guy to be freed
the standard oath keeper MO is to show up at a place they were not asked to be, with guns, to "protect" people who, with the exception of one person from infowars, did not want them to be there
they claim to just be a patriotic group but you scratch the surface and you find infowars-style conspiracy bullshit that's just been reskinned in camo
and if you go through the @Hatewatch archives on these guys you find just a TON of getting caught doing dangerous terrorist shit

that's just a handful of them. attempting takeovers of various government buildings, stealing weapons, making bombs, etc-- it's really standard white supremacist terrorist stuff, and it's only their incompetence that has kept them from doing massive harm
but their incompetence DOES NOT MAKE THEM HARMLESS. it's easy to laugh shit like this off because they are a bunch of infowars-addled dipshits, but you don't have to be competent to kill a bunch of people with a big pile of guns
which is to say: having one of these guys standing outside a school with a gun all day is REALLY DANGEROUS, and this story is REALLY underplaying that usatoday.com/story/news/nat…
every headline frames him as a veteran with a gun and fails to headline that he's a member of what is, for all intents and purposes, a terrorist organization
it's really misleading
they're framing it like he's gonna protect these kids when what this fucking looks like is red flags for him being another school shooter
