Rep. Tom Rooney just went on @CNN and contradicted the @GOP House Intelligence Committee.

Rooney said Russia did try & help Trump get elected.

Asked why his committee was ending the probe, Rooney said his committee has “gone completely off the rails” & “lost all credibility.”

Later in the interview, he tried to semi-walk back his agreement with the fact Russia had a preference for Trump, claiming they helped him and hurt him as well. But that there was evidence the propaganda did help Trump.

Funny. It‘s almost like the only Republicans that break with their party and say something resembling truth are retiring.
