CASE-IN-POINT: Hannity's lawyer Cohen brought a key piece of Trump-Russia evidence—his passport—on-air. Hannity didn't open it or ask for an accounting of its contents. Any other media personality would've—but Hannity knew if Cohen went down it'd hurt him.
2/ It takes Hannity *20 seconds* to pick up the passport, put it down, joke about looking at it (but not look at it), and then say—dismissively—"OK." He then lets Cohen go on a lengthy diatribe demanding an apology from law enforcement. Hannity then declares "journalism is dead."
3/ Cohen claims to Hannity he's willing to have people besides Trump look through each page of his passport, but just didn't want his personal data—e.g. SSN—published. Hannity doesn't take him up on it. But he *does* make himself a Mueller witness by *vouching* for Cohen's alibi.
4/ Cohen's co-conspirator Trump is the only one we know of to have seen Cohen's passport, which is inculpatory if it shows mid-'16 entry to any nation you can go to Prague through sans stamp, and is far more important than any alibi—as Cohen has the dates of the allegation wrong.
5/ So Hannity a) vouches for Cohen's alibi, b) fails to do what even an entertainment journalist would do (look at Cohen's passport) and c) fails to disclose his conflict of interest—as if the feds get Cohen docs on a crime-fraud exception, Hannity's materials could be disclosed.
6/ So Hannity in the interview *volunteers* to be a pro-Trump Mueller witness by saying that he can *personally* confirm Cohen's whereabouts on a day of interest—but for some reason won't *also* confirm Cohen's passport's contents.
