The 2nd Judge, Loya is assigned to try the case. On 31 October 2014, Judge Loya asked why Shah had failed to appear in court despite being in Mumbai on that date. He sets the next date of hearing for 15th December. Before that, on 1/12/14 Judge Loya dies a mysterious death.
Loya's successor discharged Shah in one short hearing despite a 1000 page chargesheet containing details of Shah having been in continuous touch at that time with the police officers who carried out these Encounters.Despite this bogus discharge,CBI under Modi does not appeal this
Loya's family reveals that he was offered a 100cr bribe to discharge Shah and that he was under great pressure. His body was not sent to his wife in Mumbai but to his home town in Latur where they found his clothes stained in blood,though he is said to have died of a heart attack
BJP govt claimed that it got a secret inquiry conducted by a police officer who produced a report in 5 days&which had purported statements of 4 district judges.2 said they stayed with Loya in the VIP Guest house in 1 room with 2 beds!They say Loya complained of chest pain at 4am

His postmortem is done & multiple samples of heart tissue are sent for microscopic examination. The foremost forensic medicine expert in the country Dr Sharma says that the postmortem report shows no sign of heart attack. Congestion of all his organs indicate poisoning!
A top cardiologist says even the ECG (produced later by the government,which contains the incorrect date of 30/11/14)& histopath report also don't show any sign of a heart attack. Ppl involved with PostMortem told Caravan that a Prof close to BJP dictated PM report & hid injuries
A petition is filed in the Bombay High Court by Bombay Lawyers Association seeking an independent investigation into Loya's death. Notice is issued. Suddenly another petition is filed in SC by a 'journo' called Lone, close to BJP. CJI orders urgent listing before CT 10 next day!
SC also transfers Bombay petition to itself.Does not issue notice despite many hearings. Mah govt hands over a report of police officer containing statements of four judges but without any affidavit. Request to ask govt to file affidavit&request to cross examine judges is refused
On 16/4/18, 7 political party take time to meet the vice president to submit the impeachment motion against the CJI. The VP gives time for 20th saying that he is in the Northeast till then.Suddenly, on the 19th the SC pronounces judgement in the Loya case,dismissing the petitions
The SC while dismissing the petitions attacks the petitioners & counsel, calling it Political Interest Litigation, despite saying earlier that it does not question the Bonafides of the petitioners. This sets stage for the BJP to attack the impeachment motion as a revenge motion!
