Lawhorn: we had shortfall because of our state's economy and reliance on oil and gas and giving incentives to wind industry. Diversify our economy and treat all companies fairly.
Stephens: Push politics aside. Engage rather than disengage. Way business is conducted inside Capitol, you wouldn't appreciate it. Move past petty stuff.
Fisher: We've increased govt. spending by $4 billion from 2006 to 2016. Take honest look at what government is doing. Notes $70m rebates for wind industry. Put govt. out front and people need to know.
Joe Exotic: We're broke because it's your money. They don't care. We don't run this state like a business. Too many bills passed each year that don't matter to everyday people.
Barnett: We need salary caps. We don't need to raise taxes. Stop worrying about who can adopt a child and putting restrictions in place. We have got to live within our means.
Jones: Social services and healthcare spending have gone up, but all other agencies have had cuts. We need to make sure every dollar is spend wisely.
Powell: Our budget process is pretty terrible. We have 3 sets of numbers from House, Senate, Governor. They can't all be right. Budget is cooked up in the back rooms. Maybe one session should be for budget.
Edmondson: insist on zero-based budgeting. Wants cigarette tax increase and to close loopholes that primarily benefit the rich.
