The Multi Million Dollar Ponzi Business called NGOs/Chaos

So you saw it abi? You saw $100,000 collected from @FordFoundation by @EiENigeria on on behalf of NIGERIANS "to provide support to populations most affected by #COVID19Nigeria in several Nigerian States..🤣🤣
#NGOScam Image
I didn't even plan for any thread yet about this NGO/CSO Multi Million Dollar Ponzi schemes in Nigeria.
When you see @EiENigeria hoping to get a donation of $100,000 from just one donor alone @FordFoundation in year 2020 because of pandemic, you'll know why they're against CAMA. Image
That figure you saw from @FordFoundation to @EiENigeria as PALLIATIVE on behalf of Nigeria (if released) was only PREMISED on the fact that Nigerians would benefit.
Excuse me, did @EiENigeria distribute any palliative in tune of $100,000 in any State thus year?

Having been allowed to carry out one very successful evacuation of Nigerians from London at very low fares, @flyairpeace in coordination with the @NigeriaGov and full knowledge of the UK authorities scheduled two additional flights.
All the arrangements were made including payments, only for the UK authorities to withdraw landing rights close to departure despite strong representations by the Nigerian Government including pointing out the hardship that would be caused to hundreds of Nigerian evacuees.
Air Peace could have just refunded the passengers but exceptionally, patriotically and altruistically agreed to find an alternative carrier acceptable to the UK authorities to carry out the evacuation a day later than scheduled but for much higher fares.

By the sure-mercies of Jehovah God, I beat #coronavirus💃
I can still recall the tremor that engulfed me 2 weeks ago when I got the call. Or how I sat on a spot for hours trying to make sense of it all.
Thankfully, I had gone through the symptomatic phase which was very short
1/
and mild before my result came out, so I was asymptomatic throughout my isolation period...Halleluyah!
Facts on COVID-19 from my experience.
1. It is real. People are getting infected on a daily and the numbers published don't capture the true reality.
2/
It saddens me that a lot of people still don't believe it🤦‍♀️.
2. A good number of people who get infected remain asymptomatic hence won't even go for the test. That means, consider everyone a suspect and observe the recommended safety protocols. Let me dwell on this a bit;

SHALL WE WORRY ABOUT #COVID19 RAPIDLY RISING FIGURES?

YES & NO!

#COVID19Nigeria

#THREAD 👇👇👇
Present figures:
Number of affected persons: 28,167
Discharged 11,462 (40.69%)
Deaths: 634 (2.25%)

@NCDCgov
Number of affected cases is determined by the prevalence of infection in the community and the number of tests carried out.
If the prevalence remains constant but number of tests carried out in the community increases then figures of affected persons definitely will increase...

You don’t want to know the kind of losses event planners & event engineers are making now. Everyone within the value chain of any event that has to do with gathering may not have a job in years to come. This is an industry that’s been thriving daily for years. Think about it. ⛱
Think about sound engineers and those that rent out musical instruments for shows. All their investments and interest on loans for equipment they have procured and we’re paying for in installments. It is those directly affected that will understand for the now. 😞 #Covid19Nigeria
The last time some people got patronage was January and this is May almost running time an end. Our Bills don’t care about the pandemic. They will show up and tug at us regardless. Many businesses have died, some are dying and others are bracing themselves for impact.

SERAP has sent an urgent appeal to President @MBuhari urging him to urgently instruct the AGF & Minister of Justice Mr Abukabar Malami, SAN to work with appropriate ministries & agencies to identify, publish & use confiscated stolen assets as isolation centres.
#Covid19Nigeria
Using confiscated assets as isolation centres would provide safe and enabling environments for the treatment and care of people, improve the authorities’ ability to respond to COVID-19, reduce the risks to Nigerians and to public health.
The Minister of Health, @DrEOEhanire had last week reportedly begged Nigerians to donate & temporarily make their buildings available as isolation centres. According to him, more buildings would be needed, as @NCDCgov aims to test two million people in the next three months

Patriotic Nigerians,

I will start by applauding you all for the patriotism that you have shown in our collective drive for a better Nigeria. I know sooner or later we will have the Nigeria of our DREAM with less BIGOTRY, NEPOTISM, CORRUPTION and CRISIS. It is MAY DAY!
The situation might be different this year as a result of the pandemic that we face in the world but it will not barricade my appreciation to all WORKERS regardless of your discipline and level. For your patriotic services and undying commitments in building our dear Nation.
No doubt we are not there yet, we are not where we want to be as a Nation but the efforts of our founding fathers and the contributions of everyone keeps moving us close to a GREATER Nigeria. The situation is visibly harsh and frustrating but we must always give our BEST.

KANO CITY IS NOW THE KILLING FIELDS OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN AFRICA

By @ProfUsmanYusuf 25th April 2020

I raised alarm in an article I wrote which was published in the Daily Trust Newspaper (page 6) on April 22nd, 2020 on how COVID-19 was ravaging Kano city.
I opined that if urgent action was not taken by the Federal Government, the city could become the epicenter of the virus on the African continent.
Recognizing the disastrous consequences of such a scenario, I offered recommendations that could help stem the slide.

@iNabmahmoud Coronavirus may kill Thousands in Nigeria

When I was writing my PhD thesis on Geographical Epidemiology of Tuberculosis in Kano State, I adapted two models with some sorts of modification, that is, the Risk Cells and Health Field Models. Behold!

1/10
@iNabmahmoud Age of Coronavirus Deaths as provided by New York City Health as of April 14:

[Underlying illnesses include Diabetes, Lung Disease, Cancer, Immunodeficiency, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Asthma, Kidney Disease, and gastrointestinal/Liver Disease]
@iNabmahmoud Using the same models on #Covid19 in Nigeria, I personally made the following conclusions:

1. As the NCDC is busy testing only THREE categories of people in the country, that is:

About midday today, the @PoliceNG in Akwa Ibom prevented the NMA State Officers Committee led by the State Chairman, Dr. Nsikak Nyoyoko, from proceeding to the UUTH to distribute PPEs to its members based on "orders from above". This is unacceptable. @PoliceNG_CRU #COVID19Nigeria
Health workers in Akwa Ibom are facing hostility from the government and the Police over the response to COVID-19 pandemic. The NMA earlier demanded the sack of the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Ukpong; who publicly disclaimed the first six positive cases announced by @NCDCgov.
A senior doctor in Akwa Ibom, Dr. Dominic, died last week at the Ibom Specialist Hospital due to what is widely believed to be COVID-19 complications. The @NCDCgov and the state government are yet to announce the result of the autopsy (or postmortem) carried out on the deceased.

📢#COVID19Nigeria UPDATE

NCDC has issued an advisory guiding Nigerians on the use of face masks

Recognising the need for guidance on #COVID19 prevention, we remain committed to keeping citizens informed on verified ways to stay safe

Read via
covid19.ncdc.gov.ng/resource/guide…
NCDC recommends that masks are worn:

1. As an optional added layer of physical distancing while in crowded settings eg. markets

2. By the elderly with preexisting medical conditions eg. diabetes

3. In combination with social distancing, hand washing & cleaning surfaces
It is critical to ensure proper handling of masks. Improper disposal & frequent touching can increase risk of infection with the #COVID19 virus.

Please note, medical masks are best reserved for patients & healthcare workers who need them most.

@nassnigeria @NGRSenate @NGRPresident @MBuhari @NCDCgov @Fmohnigeria @DrEOEhanire @ProfOsinbajo I know u will convincingly convince us that you are not aware of the 5000 naira hazard allowance health workers are receiving. Let me now bring it to your notice that these people
Risk their lives by exposing themselves to hazards you can not imagine on daily basis, some contract dangerous diseases and some even die as a result of the hazard they are exposed to. It is pertinent at this point to review the hazard allowance for health workers in Nigeria
Let FGN especially @nassnigeria as a matter of urgency proposed and make a law that will review the hazard allowance for health workers in Nigeria. The global battle against this pandemic rest on the shoulders of health workers, motivate them & give them all needed to work well.

#COVID19 is here to teach us a lesson; I hope we learn. Nigeria’s healthcare is unhealthy. But instead of fixing it, our rulers have been busy flying up & down abroad.
If we survive COVID-19, we need a law to restrict all public officials from seeking medical care abroad.
#Thread
With #COVID19, reality is upon us. No more running overseas for medical vacation. Our rulers cannot travel to the United Kingdom, United States of America or India anymore for medical care. These countries are also hanging on their last breath, battling to survive the pandemic.
In 2017, President @MBuhari Buhari spent 103 days in London receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed illness, spending taxpayers’ money instead of investing in the country’s healthcare. Thousands of Nigerians died in the same period from different illnesses. #COVID19

“Corona Court Case in Rivers State
April 1, 2020

The Governor said Dusk to Dawn. Hence the people moved freely from 6a.m to 6p.m. Shockingly, the Governor's agents were arresting people who
moved out during the day. This confusion was cleared when the Commissioner for information insisted that it was a 24hr curfew. The damage had already been done, over a hundred and twenty six persons were already arrested.
