Twitter is a community that thrives on Trust, Conscientiousness, Clarity, Candor and Competency. You brand begins to disintegrate when you become self serving and mendacious. This is one reason why I don’t appreciate being mentioned along side folks like Dipo.
People who don’t practice what they preach don’t get my attention. When you wear a mask so long you begin to forget about the true face beneath the mask. I won’t stop praying for these amoral archetypes hiding behind titles while displaying primal putrid attitude in public.
You are doing Twitter wrong when you make enemies of people you ought to draw close to. Don’t kid yourself though that you have any true friends here. We are just not fighting yet. I’m following & being followed by many people who don’t agree with me on everything. Which is cool
This is how we learn to respect our diversity. My best friend here is in APC, have I for his sake spared the party for any inanity? Of course not. Did he curse me out for this? Of course not. He is enlightened and has been one of the most intelligent people I’ve met in Nigeria.
You really don’t need a hopeless title or degree that can’t earn you any job in Nigeria to be perceived intelligent. People will know from experiencing your character. Education is not about reeling out what people can Google. It is about your action, exposure and character.
There are many times @DrJoeAbah or @yinkanubi have differed on many issues. Even @DemolaRewaju and @KelvinOdanz not to mention @cchukudebelu we have all at some points held different opinions. At such times the Twitter space learns as do we from the potpourri of perspectives.
How many times have you heard these icons and enigmas descend so low as to abusing people. Note that these are genuinely educated people not seeking validation or employment from any politician. I have Intergrated with them that much. Please let’s set the right examples.
Nobody will be buried on Twitter. We all live in the real world & our influence and impact should resonate long after our fingers can no longer type. Your kids will one day read these engagements. This is Socialmedia not a platform for sociopaths. Tuck in your inferiority complex
We all have something to offer. There are people who love us all and hope that one day the people that make their TL glow would unite for better impact yet some are acting like brats. Anyways, just respect people who’s been independent before your testicles descended.
I met @alouibrahim92 on Twitter. Guess what, he was one of the stars in the 7th Assembly and returning to the Senate soonest. We have both changed our world and impacted governance to the benefit of Nigerians without allowing politics, religion or tribe interfere with our goal.
Just in case you don’t know, @yinkanubi is a guardian to my lovely daughter and a true friend of mine. There is nothing I won’t give to put a smile on his face yet we respect our differences on some political matters. Friends are friends not bcos they agree on everything.
It is about mutual respect. Those who know me will tell you I am very terrible in groups. I don’t relate well in mixed multitudes but I do better one on one. I’m a hermit. Same reason why I can’t be an aide or a politician. I can’t pretend.
This is not pride but my personal flaw. I stay in my Cave most times and run businesses from there. Not an office person. This is why Facebook can’t work for me. I love Twitter where people can be real to call me out. This is different from false accusations or blackmail.
If we treat each other the way we will love to be treated Twitter will be a better place. We are setting precedents. There is life outside this place and we should be able to extend a hand of fellowship when we see outside regardless of our differences.
I have met many people at Nnamdi Azikiwe airport Abuja, even at the Marina JW Marriot in Dubai who knew me already on Twitter. We greet and relate as though we are family. There are no cases where we revisit our grievances or arguments, we just carried on. That’s life.
Stop comparing and stop living in bitterness. Just do you and relate with others regardless of how much they intimidate you. I for one love all Nigerians. Your actions can never drive me to hate you. Nothing will change the fact that we are fellow citizens of Nigeria.
I pray that most of the overlords mature and stop the pettiness. You don’t abuse people your dad can’t share a room with and hide behind the block button. That’s a chronic display of the audacity of stupidity especially if your name carries an impotent title.
Our precious @DrJoeAbah’s patience is one thing to learn from. He is not my mate but an elder of repute. Yet, he plays around while sharing from his depths for us all to manifest. We take these things for granted when majority of us may never have the opportunity to meet him.
Instead of pretending to be smart why not just apply yourself and be remembered for something indeed. Don’t be a sign board pointing to heaven. Make the trip yourself. Practice what you preach. Show us your values not titles in name only. This is not Facebook.
Our generation MUST not continue with the diabolical trend where Professors are turned into rag dolls of politicians. It is high time enlightened folks from the citadels of higher learning apply themselves not as rubbers-tamps of inanities but interventionists and innovators.
