The president is at war with CANADA. WHAT IS HAPPENING.
To be clear, Canada's tariffs are in response to the ones the US put on their steel industry in the supposed name of national security. Trudeau seemed offended by this at the press conference (citing Canadians fighting alongside the US in wars) but he was exceedingly diplomatic.
Trudeau also seemed very proud that despite these trade policy differences they had all managed to come together to sign on to a statement expressing agreement around some important issues.
