Ferguson isn’t an outlier, Delwood, Jennings, the 5th ward of St. Louis and other areas have similar issues. These communities have seen constant oppression.
These communities need dramatic change, we need a living wage, we need better schools, we need more. @SheenBean32
@SheenBean32 advice to candidates running in elections- be sure to knock on every door, because if elected you will represent more than just your “likely voters”.

It’s not just about the blue wave, we need the right surfers on the blue waves.
The most poison thought is that “Things will never change” because it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. You give up thinking things will never change.

Set a personal metric of having 3 uncomfortable conversations about race every week. And dig in below the surface, don’t keep it polite.
Make people uncomfortable enough to ask, what is going on? Is the only way to influence change is through action.
