The most up-to-date vaccine (Gardisil 9) protects against 9 strains of HPV, including several non-cancerous strains that simply cause warts
Routine immunization with the HPV vaccine causes serious adverse events about 1 in a million times
It also prevents ~95% of cervical cancer

In fact, the Australian immunization program has been so successful that not only may cervical cancer be ELIMINATED AS A DISEASE here, but anal and other HPV-associated cancer rates are set to drop hugely
Thankfully, with millions immunized and more than a decade of research, I can confidently assure you that these figures are sound
