@ThomasWictor 2) Read how he talks about Trump supporters. He talks about this illusion, this charicature of Trump supporters liberals have that doesn’t actually exist in reality.

@ThomasWictor 4) He admits that the audience is smart, how he treats the audience as equals rather than someone to be fooled.

@ThomasWictor 5) He talks about how for his performances he is loud, bombastic, verbally aggressive. His entire persona was based around being loud and aggressive during his performances.

@ThomasWictor 6) His performance is all about explaining the tricks he’s presenting, like the floating ball passing through the hoop with the thread attached to the ball.

@ThomasWictor 7) Notice how reasonable, conciliatory, honest he is throughout the entire interview... until Schroedingers Tapes are brought up. The tapes that do and do not exist.

@ThomasWictor 8) It is august 2018. He knows the ONLY reason Vulture is interviewing his ass is because he was on celebrity apprentice and there’s the rumor of the Quantum Tapes of Trump saying the word that would end the world.

@ThomasWictor 10) He immediately flips from being conciliatory and reasonable to ‘Trump said the word and its on tape. He’s a terrible president. He’s irredeemable. No I can’t give you any specifics, but it was horrible.’

@ThomasWictor 11) This is the dude that violates an NDA to describe how women in magic can fool even seasoned professionals because they’re coming at magic in new ways, he quotes Siegfried saying “I am not straight. I am not gay. I am Siegfried.” Yet he wont be specific on that?

@ThomasWictor 12) It’s an illusion. Its a mirage. There are no tapes. Its an illusion that was invented to be chased around endlessly for YEARS.

There’s an rpg setting (think D&D) called the World of Darkness, modern world with magic and vampires and werewolves and all that shit.

@ThomasWictor 16) In this world, there exists a group of mages called the Guardians of the Veil. Guardians of the Veil believe magic, which is more of a metaphor for enlightenment/the truth, only should be bestowed upon those who are worthy of it.

@ThomasWictor 17) In order to protect their secrets, they created this massive concept called The Labyrinth. Its not an actual maze with minotaurs and such (typically. Greek mages can be a little weird with mythological obsessions.)

@ThomasWictor 18) It is basically an inconceivably vast network of secrets, hiding places, lies, and illusions meant to tempt in people seeking knowledge of magic and making them utterly and hopelessly lost until they either go insane, give up, or become enlightened.

@ThomasWictor 19) There were Guardians who tended to this Labyrinth called Cultors. Their job was to oversee bits and pieces of the Labyrinth, grow it, and mess with people who were ‘in’ the Labyrinth however they saw fit.

@ThomasWictor 20) This could include tempting people further into the Labyrinth down false paths, specifically to obstruct and confuse them.

@ThomasWictor 21) As an example, I played a character that was a stoner hippie college professor who taught mythology at 4 different universities, one of which was a nonexistent online school, the other 3 he was on sabbatical, all of which he taught night classes, and his offices were closets.

@ThomasWictor 22) It was a wild goose chase trying to just track him down. His textbook on magical lore was fake and existed solely as the bait to get people to chase their own tails endlessly trying to get ahold of it.

What is Penn Jillette doing?

He is acting as one of these Guardians in the Labyrinth, tempting dumbass fucking reporters deeper into it by saying “Yes, the tapes do certainly still exist, you should go bug this person about them.”
