We spend the best years of our lives waiting for a #Miracle when the miracle is #Life itself

We wait for approval,we wait for promotion,we wait for the bonus,we wait for freedom,we wait for a revelation AND in all this,we forget to live
Today, I make this promise to myself. No more waiting. I will live each day like it was the last day of my life. And I will live each day like it is the first day of the rest of my life with no regrets of the day that was..
I will be #Courageous.
Not courageous like a #Soldier under fire, but courageous enough to not wait. Courageous enough to #Live every moment to the hilt.

#Courageous enough to know that the only losses I should fear are the loss of #Love and #Respect, for myself & for those around me.
Courageous enough to know that my wealth lies in the #Bonds I share with #People, and not in the bonds in my #Locker
Finding one’s place in the #World is such a confusing thing

When I was a child, my world was small and I thought everyone knew everyone

As I grew up, I began to imagine you had to be #RichAndFamous to have a place in the world
I know now, that it is not a place in the world we #Hunger for, it is a place in the #Heart

I have not given up on #Ambition.But I will approach it with the #Childlike #Inquisitiveness that I had forgotten.

I promise to be amazed at #Rainbows.

I promise to play in the #Rain
I promise to #NotKnowFear

I #Promise to not be #Distracted by #FalseAmbition

I am not re-inventing myself.I am merely brushing off the mould that has grown over a once new & shining me
I merely wish to return to how I was when I was #Born - a #Pure #Consciousness, a mind full of #Potential and a life full of #wonder...

Today on the #FirstSundayOfTheYear At about 4 am(I would Say Pre-Dawn) I heard someone speaking to me “Wake up,You cannot be Sleeping & Making This Wonderful Day Short" by Sleeping till late
I Woke up immediately looking for Where the Voice came from? I found that This Voice was from Within me. By now my Slumber had Vanished and I was fully awake . I left the bed, made a cup of tea and sat out in the balcony, enjoying the cool breeze and sipping my morning Tea
Various Thoughts started to Swim within me and then the below happened.

My Heart asked me a question. "Where is Success."

My Mind immediately Replied to My Heart, you, My Friend always Run to the World of Fantasy.

Air Commodore Vishal was a Jet Pilot. In a combat mission his fighter plane was destroyed by a missile. He however ejected himself and parachuted safely.
He won acclaims and appreciations from many.

After five years one day he was sitting with his wife in a restaurant. A man from another table came to him & said "You're Captain Vishal! You flew jet fighters. You were shot down!"

“How in the world did you know that?” asked Vishal
“I packed your parachute," the man smiled and replied.

Vishal gasped in surprise and gratitude and thought if parachute hadn't worked, I wouldn’t be here today. Vishal couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man.

IMA as I used to call I Mahadevan for 40 yrs was my friend. An icon for purity, in 1950s he negotiated with for import of 11 textile mills for TN. After deal was over they asked who would get the 9%. Shocked IMA asked for & got an extra mill. Read this thread as a tribute to him.
IAS officers were then allowed to use office car if they brought files home. IMA used to come in a taxi and get the files home by office car. He used to keep a pen filled with office ink for office use & a private pen filled work ink at home for private use. Mercilessly honest

Narratives MATTER.

Among my peers, I see two distinct narratives:

1⃣ "College were the best years of our lives. Working hard sucks."

2⃣ "Life gets better and better every year. Yes, I work extremely hard. But I'm inspired by big dreams and supportive friends."
Our narratives should promote a low time preference.

We should look forward towards the future with excitement.

Right now, we discount the future way too much.

As @tylercowen said to me, we under-rate the massive, massive benefits of compound learning.
