Some sex workers, who are sex workers by choice/are not coerced into the industry, were upset by the Backpage takedown bec of its impact on their industry.

But Backpage was AIDING in sex crimes by "sanitizing" ads for underage trafficking victims-ie removing details that made it clear the victims were underage, but still posting the ads on their site.

And the concern of the sex workers who were upset by the takedown was weaponized.
And turned into a disinfo op. Perfect fodder for the horseshoe.
