The @IAF_MCC will need to retire 11 MIG sqdns by 2030 or around 198 jets , another 200 jets retire ~2035. We need to replace 400jets to maintain current lvls by 2035. For 42 sqdns add 200 jets . @RahulGandhi pls can you tell us how you'll cover that with @HALHQBLR 1/n #Rafale

The NDA plan is to have @HALHQBLR build at least 250 #LCA variants in three lines ( two lines funded by #Modi ) with each line building 8jets/annum starting 2020.
Another 350 #aircraft will have to come from 1-2 other privately owned firms or be imported. 2/n

If we kill private #military #aircraft #manufacturing today we will have to import ~300 jets in the next 10-15 yrs which will cost #India anything between 45-60$bn . Each 1$bn invested creates at least 6000 jobs today , this import alone will cost us 360,000 jobs 3/n

Do you @RahulGandhi feel proud at us being the largest #defence importer in the world? We've imported gear worth an minimum of 10$bn every year from 2000-2018 or worth 180$bn . We've lost 1,080,000 jobs to imports. It's time to end this idiocy now. 4/n

The men #AnilAmbani will employ will be Indian , the men other private defence manufacturers like L&T , @TataCompanies etc employ are Indians as well. Our needs are too much for the PSUs alone to shoulder.

Everyone raging about #Rafale #RafaleDeal #RafalePolitics under the influence of #RahulGandhi needs to understand the old system with @HALHQBLR alone only propagates imports which makes #india lose jobs & funds. If we're to get out of that cycle private industry is must.

We all need to know that as of now the @IAF_MCC will have only 29.5sqdns in 2030 & 19.5sqdns in 2035(274-SU30+40-LCA+36-Rafale) .
We need to start working quickly if we are to maintain our aerial superiority in the subcontinent. This #RafaleDeal #Politics is not helping!
