That's her whole strategy. While Dem Cort VanOstran @cortvo refuses to take PAC $ & holds forums across MO-02, she goes all "Everything's normal, nothing to see here" on Trump, & rakes in big $ from Enterprise Rental Cars, Edward Jones brokers, Northwestern Mutual Ins, & Ameren.
She's convinced big corporate $, plus anti-choice anti-black white flight voters, will easily keep her in Congress. MO-02 has 235k who would lose health ins b/c of Wagner's 11 votes to kill the ACA. She supports right-to-work, even though 72% of MO-02 voted against it.
She voted for GOP tax cuts for the rich that'll bankrupt the economy & stick the rest of us with the bill. She's voted w/Trump 96%+ of the time. But she figures all of that's invisible as long as she can campaign against abortion and "partisans" like the League of Women Voters.
Her polls convince her that MO-02 is a sinkhole of Right-Wing angry whites that will keep her in office as long as she pretends that Trump's outrages don't exist. It's an ugly, cynical kind of politics. MO-02 deserves better. @cortvo is a far superior choice for Congress.
