1) On today's discussion between @hughhewitt and @Hillsdale 's President Larry Arnn, @LarryArnn said the beginning of the current attempt to subvert the Constitution, by eliminating equal representation of states in the Senate
2) (though this notion is folly, unless we ignore the Constitution even more so than we do today, since "no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage [representation, voting] in the Senate),
3) was in the dev't of the (Darwinian) philosophy that, through science, humans and human institutions can be improved and perfected. This resulted in a change in the belief, by some, regarding where sovereignty lies.
4) They think it lies in those with this new, expert, scientific and policy knowledge; the Constitution says it lies with the People, as expressed through their representation, as it is carried out constitutionally
5) (which, by the way, should include repeal of the 17th Amendment, which took power and representation from the states and therefore of the citizens of those states).
6) I think he's right and that it's part and parcel of the new effort to change the Constitution unlawfully, by changing our language. Hence the constant warnings from the Left that everything conservative is "a danger to our democracy."
7) Except it's not a democracy, which is the form of government the Founders thought is most dangerous, through its instability and unfairness. It's a Republic, if we can keep it.
