1) The media lies to us to push a narrative. We know this. Sometimes they lie by omission. Sometimes they lie straight up. But, they always lie, and they always do it to scare you. Most often, the lies to conservatives are that they're more alone than they really are.
2) People are inherently afraid of being alone. I would argue even the most devout hermits like the venerable Thomas Wictor ultimately do value at least small controlled bits of social interaction, even if its just speaking and knowing someone is hearing them.
3) This is why social media is so addicting to people, and why the leftists who run social media are so irredeemably fucking evil for implementing and using the tools to isolate and throw people off of social media.
4) Community is a fundamental need for people. I mean, fuck, its on Maslow's hierarchy of needs after all. When people are deprived of that community, when people are driven further and further into isolation by others or convinced they are more isolated, it makes them afraid.
5) So how does this involve the media?

Opinion polls. Opinion polls have been made into psychological weapons whose purpose is to drive their targets into feeling isolated, feeling as though they're in the minority. Opinion polls are meant to make people afraid.
6) Polls that are given big headlines are meant to scare you. Make you think the blue wave is coming, that this extreme far left outnumbers conservatives by the millions. nbcnews.com/politics/first…
7) They are lying to you. This was the flimsiest poll that took me a grand total of 5 minutes to do the research and demolish.

This is what I call the Scare Tactic Principle.
8) The Scare Tactic Principle is this: The more someone is trying to scare you, the easier it is to dismantle the lie once you look at it with a calm mind.

First, let's take a look at the poll breakdowns that I had to go to Marist to see. maristpoll.marist.edu/wp-content/upl…
9) Page 3, region. Note Pima County, Tuscon AZ. As it is a city, it is of course a liberal stronghold. They drew 15% of their sample from Tuscon, AZ.
10) The problem? Tuscon AZ's population is only 7% of Arizona's population.
11) WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW. They got that 6% lead by double dipping in one of the most liberal areas of the state, and then hiding it in the poll breakdowns that weren't even shown on NBC's article.
12) Betcha that poll result doesn't seem nearly as scary now that you know where that 6% came from. And that's just a basic surface level demographic problem.
13) We're not even considering how they used registered voters instead of likely voters in the announced results, which is about as useful as the referencing the communist manifesto to determine investment strategies.
14) NBC tried to scare you. They tried to scare all conservatives.

What do you say to the Fake News when it tries to scare you?
