Because I am benevolent, I have translated and captioned the first episode of Juda, the Blade-meets-Snatch-but-Jewish vampire show I've been talking about so non-Hebrew-speakers can enjoy it. Happy Halloween!
A couple notes--I translated this so my non-Jewish friends could enjoy it, so I tried to make it as accessible as possible (hence "put on tefillin" rather than "lay tefillin," etc.).
I enjoyed the pilot, but honestly, a lot of the stuff I love about the series (vampire lore that turns on super-obscure Kabbalah or intricacies of Hebrew grammar, and most importantly, refuting blood libel tropes, etc.) isn't until later episodes.
Translating and captioning is super time-consuming, so I don't know when I'll get to later episodes, so maybe petition Netflix to add it. :-)
Also, I am not Israeli, so there are definitely some colloquialisms/slang I didn't get and had to translate based on context instead.
