I want to tell you about a resource you can access which allows you to look at the multitude of ways in which the EU helps us in our lives together as EU citizens. I have pulled out a handful of examples to show you but there are hundreds of documents on the link
Many regions in the UK have had money back from the EU budget in order to support projects which benefit local residents or the local economy. In the website you can search your own region and there are links to further detail but here are some examples from the North West. 
Do you live in a border region? Do you have to cross any EU borders for work? Our EU facilites cross border living and has created things like recognition of qualifications across member states to broaden opportunities for individuals.
Our EU attempts to stop discrimination in areas of disability. For example ensuring disabled passengers can get help in planning train journeys
Our EU membership has contributed to a lasting peace on the Island of Ireland, a crucial part of this being the open border between north and south of course. Additionally here are some other examples of how Belfast has benefitted including the Peace IV programme.
Arts and Culture are areas supported by EU initiatives and rules. Musicians via Freedom of Movement for example have been able to broaden their opportunities, audiences and venues.
Our consumer rights have been enhanced over the years as we have created better frameworks which benefit us all. Everyone knows now about roaming charges, but the regulations about transparency by electricity suppliers for example came from the EU
Our money is protected in many ways as our financial systems have been honed to work together to reduce our costs and increase transparency by financial institutions - all protecting EU citizens and giving us redress.
We fall in love with who we fall in love with right. Our EU continues to facilitate a reduction in overbearing bureaucracy in areas such as cross border marriage. People should come first don’t you think? Don’t we want this rather than barriers?
Do you want to take a job in Prague or Barcelona or Calais? Right now take work anywhere in the EU. You can just pack your bag and go. No visas, no fuss and if it turns out it was a wrong decision you just come home, or somewhere else - nothing lost just rich experience gained.
