The scary thing is, if you visit the page above and then scroll down to the section that shows the number of statutory instruments processed per week, it's a slow climb through rolling hills then a sudden rocket spike into the sky. So the scrutiny time (which was already in the
single-digit minutes/instrument) must be down to basically nothing at all. Chunks of EU legislation being nodded into UK law, some tailored or amended. If I had to guess, there's *nobody* in Parliament who knows the entirety of what's been allowed to pass near-unscrutinised.
