On Feb 21st, below are some comments that I made at Jaime's funeral as part of my eulogy. Following that day, I set out to ruin the NRA who I do blame for the environment we are in today. I must say, I am pleased for my role in their current struggles. fortune.com/2018/08/03/nra…
"I was never a voice in the gun violence debate before, but I will be now. Let me be clear, I have been triggered. With you by my side, I will fight. For those of you who do not know me and what I can be like when I take on a cause, I will be relentless.
This will be my life’s cause going forward. The Orange Ribbon Movement started by Jaime’s beautiful dance sisters in Parkland Florida has become the rallying cry for the fight against gun violence. We will win, and we will be able to safely send our kids to school.
If you do not agree with me, I simply ask that you stand with me in a move for improved public safety and an understanding that my daughter was killed by a gun. This could have been your kid. This cannot continue.
Nobody will tell me that gun violence does not exist and that we do not have a public safety issue. My family is broken because of it."

(1,5) The 17 victims families were invited today to the White House. While I am appreciative of those who went and thankful for the work that they are doing on gun safety, I chose not to go. Simply put, we were invited for a private briefing on the Betsy Devos safety plan.

I set out into the Norfolk countryside in search of one of the most beautiful & least-visited ruins in England.

I wanted to find the church of St Mary's. Local folklore claims this as the resting place of the Somerton Witch, whose ghost is supposed to haunt its abandoned nave.
It was a grey & rainy day. I set out early in the morning, & took a couple of buses out to the coast, into the parish of Martham.

From there, I still had a walk of an hour along country lanes, through the low undulating land of Norfolk.

(this is my "getting-rained-on" face)
The landscape of Norfolk is ancient, & famously flat & featureless.

It's a chalk landscape, built over tens of millions of years by microscopic sea creatures that worked on the calcium of long-forgotten seas, then smoothed flat by the procession of the glaciers.

So tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary that @SciMarchSeattle organizer @SciSwany physically assaulted me as she prevented me from leaving my own house.
Back on January 5th, at the peak of harassment from @SciSwany and her friends, I contacted @SciMarchSeattle to let them know about what one of their co-founders was doing.
I had told one of the other @SciMarchSeattle cofounders about @SciSwany chasing me out of and around the house on multiple occasions. August 2016. October 2016. January 2017. February 2017. One of the most notable assaults came on March 30th, 2017.
