The film War Games is on. When I was 16 a new kid moved on my street from Kansas. He had an Austin Heally 3000. His dad was a full bird in charge of the 8th Air Force Titan II silo crews. His job was to be sure the crews would turn the keys. #ColdWarKids @NuclearAnthro
When I went to UMass after deferring a year, on the first day, my friends dad took me to the PX to buy a case of beer. Then we drove to the B-52 bomber christmas tree and we sat there drinking Carling beer and he explained a Cart Start. via @YouTube
They fire off big cans of black powder that gets the turbines spinning for an alert scramble take off when they believe we are under attack.
All I can say about my nuclear upbringing when we had the 15 minutes to missile impact phone warning, I sent my last tweet and put on my sunglasses and went out into the yard to watch. @NuclearAnthro
