CBP, ICE looking at "surge options" to get families out of holding cells in El Paso sector, "including any options identified by NGOs and/or local partners for temporary housing that can safely accommodate those in our custody." 3/

The new statement also includes a timeline. One change from earlier is CBP is now saying child died just before midnight on Christmas Eve, rather than on Christmas Day. 6/
