If God forbids and our civ. vanishes than archaeologists of future will still find large proportion of idol of Bull (Nandi) thoughout the India than that of cow.. esp in South where Giant Nandis done many temples!

Not only current times but even in medieval times it is Nandi (Bull) which dominates available archaeological record such as coins, seals and copper plates.

Had it been for me to decide I would have made Nandi and Garuda - National symbols of India. Position that they enjoyed for much of Indian history!
