#SixClicks #Thread SixClicks, what is it? SixClicks is a fast growing, grass roots, people driven twitter campaign directed at Donald Trump and the bots on his twitter account. 
The idea behind #SixClicks is that with six clicks you can remove 2 twitter bots from trumps follower count. There by reducing trump’s message reach and influence. It’s also really satisfying to take something from trump that he really values, his twitter followers.
The original idea came from as a way to troll trump. The AltFDA saw this thread and thought it was a great idea, it just needed some flashy advertising and a polished message behind it.
Beyond being one of the most gratifyingly accessible ways to show trump what you think of him and his twitter account it’s also important to remove these bots in general.
Why doesn’t twitter remove these bots? In one simple word MONEY. The following article estimates 15% of active twitter accounts are bots.

This recent article shows that those bots are responsible for ~45% of the sites revenue generating traffic. Which is exactly why twitter hasn’t done a bot purge beyond what is needed to look good in the public eye.

While it looks like trumps follower numbers are holding steady for the moment, #SixClicks is still doing major damage. The campaigns initial launch removed roughly 200K bots from his account in days.
Currently the bot factories are working overtime to keep up with the removal momentum. This is a winnable war for us because every time a bot factory has to generate a new bot, they loose money in bot generated metrics.
It won’t take long for these factories to see that they are loosing money with trump and move their following tactics to another account. Once that happens, trump’s follower count will hit a free fall point and our message will be fully heard!
When it comes to state actor (Russian, China, ...) bot farms, #SixClicks is something that they are truly scared of. SixClicks weakens their networks, preventing their messages from becoming often seen believable truth.
#SixClicks has already gotten so big that these state actor bot farms are putting out disinfo to slow the campaign. They will try other tactics as well, like co-opting #SixClicks & trying to get people to use it on other non-needed accounts to protect themselves.
We are already seeing this happen. and it’s a great sign of how effective the campaign has been.
