The plan to have the president arrogate emergency powers (indefinitely?) and pillage the $5b set aside to rebuild Puerto Rico and manage flooding in California, all so he doesn't have to reach agreement with a duly elected House majority, is--as I think about things--not good.
What would be the logical endpoint of the imaginary emergency on the southern border that gives Trump his new power? When there's a thirty foot high fence running from the gulf to the Pacific Ocean? Some time before that? Who even decides when it's over?
