Just interviewed @TulipSiddiq who has been wheeled into chamber by her husband having postponed a Caesarean section birth of her second child till Thursday to vote, because could not trust pairing system.
Also expecting to be wheeled in tomorrow for possible no confidence vote.

With no Tory (118) or Labour (3) rebels Withdrawal Deal still would have been voted down (just) 317-315.

The people of Britain...

Voted to Leave the EU in 2016...

..... and then in 2017 removed Government’s legislative majority to achieve it.

And by 2018 majority in polls* both back idea Brexit wrong, & Remain in a 2nd Ref,

but don’t in 2019 back actually holding that 2nd Ref.
I mean, I know people like to moan at MPs - but if you tell the Government to Brexit, and then takeaway its majority, and tell pollsters a majority would vote Remain, but majority also against having a Referendum - its going to be messy.

Not a single poll has had Leave ahead since last April - the only one in a year and a half. Only three polls since General Election 2017 have had a leave lead 2 of them in June 2017, 60 for Remain, now +9 avg in past few weeks:

“Loss of data and access to key systems” - ref to No Deal loss of access to EU’s SIS2 - database that’s checked when they swipe your passport and cross reffed against EU wide criminal databases.
Replaced by much inferior system /2
Border Force assumption is that “EU will impose full Schengen border controls” which could mean “UK passengers can no longer use e-gates” and “intentions checking” on way into EU. Which leads to ... /3

Sky News obtains Border Force contingency presentation slide assuming a No Deal Brexit fall in cross Channel freight traffic of 75% to 87% for next 3-6 months as a “reasonable worst case”
2/ these figures in a secret document dating from late November, were not in the official No Deal public guidance, but are believed to have been discussed in Cabinet last month...
3/ “The French will apply at least the legal minimum of third country customs controls on all goods and sanitay and phytosanitary (SPS) checks on specified food and agricultural products. This includes the imposition of 100% customs documents checks”.

Section 20 is approved. We're now moving to Section 21, which relates to notifications of legal terminations.
.@loreillysf is calling for the state to collect quantity data on terminations, respecting the anonymity and privacy of women, "to inform the development of health policy."
Quite a few TDs are pointing out that there is a strange proposal where individual medical practitioners would have to send reports on abortions performed to Mr Harris every few weeks. Minister agrees that it is strange. The plan is to use the data for an annual report.

My parents were Socialists.
They grew up dirt poor.
They believed in creating change in their lifetimes.
They raised us to believe the same.
When we were small, they were Civil Rights workers.
My dad was a Freedom Rider.

Our early childhood was framed within & by the #CRM.
My mother wasn't well, but she did everything she knew how, to ensure that black Americans had the right to vote, a right she cherished because her mother had been a baby #suffragist and had fought for that right for women.
2/
The fallout for my parents was minor compared to their black friends, but it was violent and hate-strewn and they worried about their children being hurt.

And we were hurt. I got beaten up a lot because then as now I refused silence. I got in a lot of fist fights.

Heartbreaking #thread.
I just gave birth to my second child & a sense of safety was a key part of healthy & positive outcomes for me & baby.
It seriously makes my heart ache to think of women afraid, feeling like unassisted birth is their best option. They deserve better.
