The libs will need to survive another brutal campaign season of self-inflicted and externally influenced infighting. To save American democracy, Democrats will need to focus on unity at all costs. It won’t be easy but that’s the core weakness for adversaries to exploit.
Resist the media horserace. Trump is toast, eventually. Just let that play out. Exercise deep civility in allied discourse. Openly seek to dispense with litmus tests and find common ground left of center to the horseshoe as you feel comfortable. They win when we fracture.
Arguably, the libs didn’t survive the last campaign. The Sanders and Stein effects are the things we don’t like to talk about.
