.@jdgreenblatt45 and .@POTUS "Zero credibility" is my polite way of saying that you have unilaterally destroyed the chances of peace by taking illegal unilateral measures to prejudice/predetermine the outcome of the basic requirements of peace.
You have partnered with the #Israelioccupation at the expense of #Palestinianrights and international law. Some electioneering promises should never have been made because of their destructive & illegal nature. Implementing them compounds the error & damages your credibility more
Recognizing #Jerusalem, which is an occupied Palestinian city, as the capital of #Israel & moving your embassy there is illegal as stipulated by UNSC Res. 478 (among others) & UNGA Res. ES-10/L.22, plus Int'l humanitarian law incl. 4th Geneva Convention, & the ICC Rome Statute.
Then you defunded the PA & our hospitals in Jerusalem, assaulted the whole Pal refugee population by targeting #UNRWA & redefining their status, closed down our offices in D.C. & your Consulate General in Jerusalem (est. 1844 as Amer. diplomatic mission to Palestine, NOT Israel).
You further dropped the term "occupation" from your political lexicon, with @USAmbIsrael reshaped US discourse & ideology to comply with the most extreme, hard line, oppressive, racist Israeli gov't coalition. You condoned the theft of our land & resources (settlements=war crime)
We have engaged fully since 1991 & have negotiated in every possible way until our own credibility was undermined by constant Israeli violations & non-compliance. Our people have been victimized & the 2-state sol. destroyed by Israeli impunity with full US cover.
Should you recognize our right to self determination, to freedom, sovereignty & dignity on our own land, our inherent rights & equality, & stop rewarding the occupation and bashing the Palestinians, then we will engage as equals.
We may be under occupation or in exile, but we are not defeated and our spirit is not broken. We worked hard for peace & paid a heavy price. Our people are resilient & peace is their right. Economic benefits are no substitute for justice, nor is capitulation an option.
