The sulfide mining companies are jamming this bill through even as the government is shut. Their trolls are busy today too, including the fiancé of Stauber’s losing DFL opponent who also supported this crooked deal. Our answer is NO.

@MesabiDailyNews The bill is a swap of federal land for the sulfide mining company’s adjacent land. Reason for the swap: so the company (PolyMet) can mine on federal land without having to worry about federal environmental law. Consequence: pollution of the Lake Superior watershed.

In politics supporting clean water (and paying your traffic tickets) can go a long way!

@MesabiDailyNews Dems could’ve prevented this House seat from going blue to red by running a clean water candidate like @Phifer4Change or @noozelady. But the boys from the DFL sulfide mining club sank those two in the primary. If they can’t win they’ll find a woman candidate who’s on their side.
