Many don't consider what happened to Holocaust survivors after camps were liberated, especially the thousands of orphaned children that had survived.
In 1945, 732 of them were brought to the UK to recuperate and begin a new life.

One of the children taken to Ascot was Natan Rolnik from Poland.
The picture below was published in newspapers in '45 in the hope that someone from his family might be found alive. No one came forward.
Rolnik later immigrated to Canada. He never married.
