New OIG report on misconduct by a federal contractors, 2 current FBI officials and one former FBI official involving FAR (government procurement) violations and conflicts of interest.
"The Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of the Inspector General (OIG) initiated this investigation upon the receipt of information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)concerning multiple allegations involving an FBI contractor and three FBI officials."
" The FBI contractor engaged in certain inherent governmental activities..."

These are activities that MUST be performed by actual government employees, NOT contractors.

And that contractor also had a conflict of personal interest.

I bet either they, a family member, or close friend financially benefited from that procurement.

Of course AP failed to mention that the suspect participated in the "FAST" program (Fast and Secure Trade program), which is a clearance program for commercial vehicles that are considered "low risk." In other words, it's a trusted shipper program with the US/Canada/Mexico.

Here's my question. The docket mentions 28 U.S. Code § 1605(a)(2). That law mentions state sponsors of terror.

So, did the offense involved in this secret court case have anything to do with one of the states listed as "state sponsors of terror?"

It appears as though the blame for the false missile alert lies with the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (EMA). Either the alert was accidental and innocuous as claimed, or it was intentional and for a purpose. Let's examine...

Who was responsible, how it came to occur (by human or technical error), and what measures need to be taken to prevent it from happening again will need to be examined, regardless of intent.
If accidental, oversight steps will need to be taken by Congress to ensure states have safeguards in place to prevent such wanton recklessness in creating a widespread public panic.
