1) So, I wanna do a bit of a thought experiment here. Something funny to poke at the Democrat's Green New Deal. Little bit of devil's advocate, little bit of fun.

I call it the Libertarian Green New Deal.

2) Proposal 1: End government-funded private flights for legislators and bureaucrats. Force them to fly commercial instead. If the left is THAT concerned about pollution from planes, then ending the one area of commercial flight the government has control over is the way to go.

3) Obviously, this wouldn't touch Air Force One and the related executive fleet, but that's a security matter.

4) Shrink down and consolidate federal agencies and slash their personnel. Smaller agencies means less energy used and reduces their carbon footprints. A corollary to this is to demand they switch further towards digital records, to reduce paper waste.

5) Create tax incentives for the development and production of cheap, environmentally friendly housing to be developed around overcongested urban areas with excessive homelessness populations.

6) Overcongestion and homelessness are two of the most environmentally destructive variables in urban areas. What wildlife is destroyed from the sprawl is negligible in comparison to the raw pollution produced by keeping things the same.

7) End mass data collection practices. The sheer amount of energy used to power the infrastructure necessary to capture and store data collected from American electronic communications is ridiculous. Save the environment, stop warrantless data collection.

8) Actually APPLY illegal structure and other applicable laws to break up the mass encampment style protests that have gained traction since Occupy Wall Street. Such protests ANNIHILATE the environment around them, virtually turning them into toxic waste dumps.

9) Increase border security and prevent illegal immigration to lessen the trash left by groups of illegal immigrants in border regions. cis.org/Sussis/Trash-B…

10) What's this now? A plan that will decrease pollution and shrink government size and overall result in a net cost savings? Amazing. I'm better at this green new deal stuff than @AOC apparently.
